WCNC REPORTS ON LANCASTER ANIMAL SHELTER

1/16/17

Reporter Savannah Levins interviewed shelter manager, Alan Williams, on the 6 p.m. WCNC news.

Click HERE to see the WCNC report, which mentions the proposed new kennels.

Please note:  There is a mention in this article about funds taken. I want everyone to know that NONE, NOT A SINGLE PENNY was taken from LASS.  We did not give the shelter cash and checks were not made out to the shelter. All funds collected for the kennels are in our account.

LANCASTER KENNEL ADDITION PROJECT

HELP US EXPAND THE KENNEL CAPACITY AT THE LANCASTER COUNTY SHELTER
By Diane Rashall

LASS is currently working to raise funds for the  addition of seven kennels to the Lancaster Animal Shelter.  We must increase the 24 kennels currently available to end the euthanasia of adoptable dogs just for lack of space.  Currently 25% of the kennels are dogs held related to court cases that are there for an undetermined amount of time, reducing available kennels even further.

These 7 additional kennels are expected to result in the saving of more than 100 additional dogs per year, and it is critically needed.  The project cost is budgeted at $17,700, with Lancaster County  installing the concrete pad and utilities.  As of January 9, 2017 we have raised $12,000 ($10,000 of that from 6 extraordinarily generous people), and we need your help to get us the last 30% of the way.  Please help us save hundreds of more abandoned dogs in the future.  We thank you for any help you can give us.

If you would like to help, please email lassofsuncity@gmail.com,  call Diane Rashall at 704 576-5824, or send your contribution to : LASS, 51037 Arrieta Court, Indian Land, SC  29707.  LASS is a 501.C.3 non-profit and your contribution is tax deductible.  Thank you for your support of our efforts to save as many dogs as possible.
