59 kittens heading north!

LASS  and some volunteers from Lancaster fostered all these kittens. Sharon Sapp and Suzanne Mitchel made arrangements with a rescue in Washington
D. C. to get them to PetSmarts. Nineteen were returned for varlous reasons. But our LASS volunteers will help organize another rescue mission soon. Nadine, Irene,  Barbara Z., Arlene M, Lynn and Patti Sinclair particapated in the fostering.

Take a look at this beauty! She was surrendered by a family member of deceased owner while Bernie was there. She wanted us to share with Sun City people - cat is older but loves laps and purring.  SHARE.  SHARE.  SHARE.

6/13/17 UPDATE - Great news! Kitty has been adopted!  New owner will pick her up Thursday!

6/10/17  The shelter is full - lots of kittens available for fostering and adoption!  Please spread the word!

Kittens- all colors , all shapes and sizes need fostering until they are old enough to be spay/ neutered. Most are at the Lancaster Animal Shelter and can be delivered directly to you. Some are here in SCCL and need a few more weeks of TLC before they are old enough. Please consider fostering 2 or 3 in that empty sunroom, den, or spare bedroom. They will provide hours of entertainment, purrs, and laughs.

Te and Wanda sent these pics of one of the Maine Coon mixes that came in to Shelter today. There are three total.

If you know anyone wanting one of these special kitties, spread the word.

We have had at least 11 adoptions in the last 2+_ weeks. These were all adopted out of Pet Sense after we payed their spay/neuter fees plus other medication.

Suzanne and Caroline took 30 cats from the shelter and drove them north to Maryland where they will be adopted. LASS paid $100 toward their required medications.

Here is PetSense in Lancaster, located behind Applebee's. We adopted 6 cats out from PetSense last week.

See how the kitty area is so clean and sparkly!
It is so rewarding to get to know these cats and see them get homes.  But we really need a bit more help to keep this going.  Donate an hour some morning and you may be hooked on this like a few of us are!
